All students in Illinois public schools, with limited English proficiency are required to participate in the annual ACCESS for English Language Learners (ELL) assessment, which takes place at District 30 schools from January 9 until February 10, 2012.

District 30 has District 30 has once again received the Bright A+ Award for academic excellence in education. The award criteria is based on those districts whose students' academic performance ranks in the upper 5% of the Illinois school districts based on the 2010 Illinois School Report Card. This year 59 out of 585 school districts in Illinois received this award.

Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 has received a Certificate of Recognition for financial excellence from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). The certificate denotes that District 30 is in the highest category of financial achievement based upon the 2010 fiscal year financial statements and the 2010 School District 30 Financial Profile. District 30's Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations is Christopher Young. The Administrative Assistant is Joann Hoetzer and the Bookkeeper is Sharon Cook.
